Art is included as a part of our regular curriculum from Kindergarten through eighth grade. Students are taught the principles of art and design by certified art teachers and are encouraged to express themselves creatively. We are so proud of the masterpieces that our students create that we cover our hallway walls with their artwork.
All of the original artwork featured on this website was created by our own talented Salem students.

BAND
Salem Lutheran School Band is an elective for 5th-8th graders. In band, students develop their God-given abilities
and are nurtured as young musicians.
- Students will learn to play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument.
- No prior experience is necessary. We teach all skill levels.
- Band meets as a group once a week and students receive a private or small group lesson once a week during the school day.
CHOIR
In choir, students learn how to read music, sing with proper technique, and gain confidence in their own singing skills. They learn performance ettiquette, how to sing in a group setting and hone their listening skills.
Arts & music program tOMBALL
Salem's music program is facilitated by the Arts & Music Program of Tomball (AMPTomball). In addition to our school day musical offerings of band and choir, our students have the opportunity to take private music lessons in piano, guitar, violin, drums and voice on campus during the school day or after school. Professional musicians provide excellence in music education for our students preparing them for performance and high school level programs.
