Letter from Dr. Gaertner – Dec. 11, 2016

I would like to remind families to shop the online auction today through its close at 5 pm. Many great Christmas presents are there. Including one or two for ourselves!

Parents can still make a difference in the Miracles Happen success by making a cash donation. Can be done online within the Miracles Happen events tab. We are edging closer to our goal of $38 k. Still need $20 k to go! Please consider an end of the year gift if you haven’t already done so. Every dollar benefits our students!

A reminder that you will be notified of your winning bids and may pay for them online or in the school front office beginning at 2 pm tomorrow. Items need to be picked up by Friday please.

This week is a joy filled week to celebrate the birth of Jesus!
Tuesday evening is our school wide Christmas program- our gift to you!

ALL students should be at the program. Student aides are needed to help teachers supervise the classes. Any middle school student without a specific role in the program is asked to help Dr Gaertner, Mr. Saalfeld and the Tech team cleanup between and after the programs.

Please ask your child to pay special attention to where they should meet and at what time. Teachers of younger students will also be sending that information directly to you.

Dress for the evening is Christmas attire. Please no jeans or T Shirts. This is that one evening a year where it’s expected that we dress up and look our very best. Jesus is coming!

We have divided our program into two parts to both provide a developmentally appropriate experience for the children as well as to help with seating and parking. The PreK through Second Grade program begins at 6 pm and the program for grades Three though Eight at 7 pm. The violin concert is in between the two programs. All events are in the worship center. The worship center and the lobby are beautifully decorated and perfect for family pictures. Bring your cameras!

A reminder that Wed is Pajama Day! We are partnering with Scholastic to donate pj’s (Scholastic is donating books too) to local shelters and organizations helping kids in need. Bring a set of Pj’s and wear some! Please refer to our previous emails in regard to details.

Thursday is Saints Service Day. Our middle school students are about campus and the community helping out and spreading joy!

Friday is the Geography Bowl for grades 4 and up in the morning. Parties and lunch provided by our faculty begin at noon. Dismissal is at 1 Pm.

We respectfully ask that your child be able to enjoy the activities all week long. We have a long 2 week and 2 day break ahead. We fully understand that you may want to get a jump on your vacation, but humbly ask to allow your child to enjoy the fullness of the week long activities. Becoming well grounded in Christ and well rounded for life includes experiencing all we have to offer, and this week is filled to the brim!

May our praises be to His glory and may our events raise Him up!
